Question regarding NGC graded GSA Morgans

I was wondering if anybody has heard about potential tampering with GSA morgans that are graded by NGC- the ones where they kept the GSA packaging intact, and just wrapped that thin tape around the case with the grade noted on the tape. Can people remove the tape, and put it on other GSA cases? Is it glued on the GSA case? I was just wondering if there are any potential hazards involved in shopping for these morgans on ebay... Thanks for any input!!

What I have heard is that it's almost cemented onto the slab.

I've had experience with them. And in my experience they are trading for way too much just because of an NGC Band. I believe NGC even disclaims the grade guarantee on them.... but not positive of that. I know that's not your question.... but with a good image and a good seller you can find them much cheaper without the NGC Band. I guess you could now call them RAW?image

The band uses a pressure sensitive adhesive, you won't get it off without destroying it. And Stman is correct, the GSA raded morgans are NOT covered under NGC's guarantees.
