2004 silver proof sets on back order

I had some subscriptions I placed awhile ago checked my account today the order is in but on backorder. just wanted to give a heads up for those that are interested.

Is this indicating that the 11 piece silver set is backordered? I don't even see it for sale on the mint website yet.

The 03 set is still for sale there.

Are you referring to the clad sets or silver sets? Do subscriptions process early? The silver proof sets don't go on sale until July 21.

The sales of the 11 piece set don't begin until July 22. I suspect the subscriptions are just called backorders at the moment.

I was thinking July 22 also, but the mint website says product will be available July 21.

Hi upnorth. I was on the phone last monday with a mint rep. I was giving her a hard time over my mint set subscriptions. It was kinda funny, she couldn't tell me when they would go out, but that they were in the warehouse. They shipped the next day!!! Some times it pays to complain (hell I was whining up a storm). Anyway she told me that the silver proofs would be shipping on 7/22/04. Who knows????

Just to clear up any confusion. If you go to the Mint website and check product availability, when you click on "upcoming products" it NOW says product (silver proof sets) will be available in the future. It did say July 21 earlier when I checked it, so they've changed it. If you click on "2004 scheduled products listing" it lists July 22. July 22 it is.
