I made a POP 1 Coin!!!! PCGS MS68 2004-D Peace Medal Nickel!!!!

Hello,

I got some grades today. I had:

19 PCGS MS69 Modern Commemoratives

3 - 1972-P TY2 IKE'S (2-AU58 & 1-MS64)
2 - 1972-P TY3 IKE'S (MS63 & MS64)
2 - 1972-P TY1 IKE'S (MS64)

2 - 1971-S MS64 PEG LEG IKE'S (I now have 3 MS64's in Holders but not designated)

2004-D MS67 Peace Medal Nickel (a POP 10 pc Coin)

AND a PCGS MS68 2004-D PEACE MEDAL NICKEL. The PCGS POP Report lists it as a ZERO POP but I just made this Coin!!!!!!!!

I just listed it in my Set,,,,GDH Jefferson Nickels #1 Circulation Strikes 1965-Date Full Steps. It is currently the #13 Set overall.

The MS68 Nickel came from one of about 24 rolls I got at the bank.

Holy cow. Good job. I searched about 40 rolls from the bank and have maybe 4 ms66's. That's it.

WOW!!! Please post some pics when you get the coin. I went thru a couple of mint bags and some bank rolls and don't think I seen anything better than 65-6 coins. Too much chatter on both sides of the coins.

Congratulations, really nice gradings there.
That is a pretty unique MS68 nickel considering how they were handled at the mint and all.
I suspect that when the mint sets are finally out, there will be a larger number of MS68's getting graded.

I doubt the pop will get run up on this coin as they did not come in ms68 in the mint sets from my sampling.

I have not kept track of Top Pops as such but I did recently added up that I have made 13 MS70 coins! I believe this is only my 2nd POP 1 coin. The 1st being (and still a POP1 coin) the 1972-P TY1 Ike Dollar in PCGS MS66!
