2004 Set Registry Awards Winners Announced!

Hi Everyone,

The winners for the 2004 awards have been announced. To view the list, please click here.

Click here to view the Hall of Fame inductees for 2004.

The judges, John Dannreuther, David Hall, and Gordon Wrubel were blown away by the quality of the sets registered. Some of these sets, in their opinion, are by far the finest ever assembled.

Congratulations to all the 2004 Set Registry Award winners. You have truly achieved numismatic excellence!

If you are a "Best of the Registry" certificate winner and would like a different name printed on your certificate than name you use for your set on the website, please email me no later than Monday, July 19th so that we can make the change for you.

Also, please give us a week to get all the 2004 winners icons attached to your set name. Thank you.

Reminder!
If you are planning to attend the PCGS Set Registry Luncheon August 20th at the Pittsburgh ANA and have not yet sent in your RSVP, please do so with your name and that of your guest by July 24th. David Hall will be presenting awards to all winners attending the luncheon.

Thank you for your support of the PCGS Set Registry.

    BJ,

Thanks for the update! Some great sets. Congratulations to all the winnners!

Where are the Ikes, both circulation strikes and proofs? Also didn't see circulation strike SBA's either in the list.

Maybe there are others, like Kennedies that also seemed to be absent from the list!

A mind-boggling, truly amazing set. There is only one coin in the set that is not a Pop Top. >>

Eisenhower Dollars with Varieties, Circulation Strikes (1971-1978)
This is a very difficult set to build in the highest grades. The James Sego sets, both the basic and with varieties, are the finest of all-time. >>

Congrats to the winners, as well as those that achieved your personal collecting goal the year. Looking forward again to meeting some of you at the registry lunch. Last year I ended up at a table of Bust-(Trade Dollar)-Ike collectors. I hope to see at least one other Franklin collector there this year.

True. Without all the collectors, there would be no "winners" or any other awards. Congrats to all that make the registry possible.

  • Got knocked out of the #1 ranking for Proof Sacagawea’s, which I held for 2 years, but I will be back.
If not in Sac's than somewhere else. One more PR70 coin to tie for #1 in SBA Proofs.

Good luck to everyone and congratulations to all PCGS registry set builders whether you’re ranked #1 or #100 !!!
  • Oops, My platinum sets won again, I should have done what I did last year and posted all 17 sets in the top spots, but what for? why update the 2004's yet.

Too bad they wont allow me to post my 4 in 1 sets on the registry, that's where my real goodies are. image

Congrats everyone, yes, even you MR Platinum, even though you seem to have patted yourself on the back and done your bragging. But you did earn it. image
