"warning_sells_fakes." HA!!!

ziggy29ziggy29 Posts: 18,668 ✭✭✭
It appears that our "friend" who was selling that bogus 1793 cent and other GMM pieces by removing the word "copy" has quickly "sold" another coin, this time to a bidder called "warning_sells_fakes" (which was created on July 9).

They left feedback for the seller, telling gypped buyers of fakes to contact the Brookfield, OH police department if they were scammed by this seller.

He might have made a grave mistake--ebay will nix that negative since it has a link

Actually, do they consider a web site address to be a "link?" To me, a link means you click on it and you're redirected. By that definition, the feedback doesn't contain a link.

But there are at least two other potential reasons I can see for which this feedback could be removed.

    They'll nix it.

I put a negative in (my only one) about 2 years ago and suggest to potential buyer to "go to the PCGS web site" and make a website search for the offending party (not going to mention since it's long over) and they took out the entire feedback.

I also looked through the sellers feedback and he himself had suggested that folks go to "ripoff.com" or something like that. It was a fictitious site, but none the less, I had that feedback stricken as well.

Maybe the approach is to go to the ANA on something like this.

Well our scam seller has now made his feedback private. I would think that will hurt his sales some, after all it has to raise some questions with bidders as to hy he won't let you see his feedback, but not as much as being able to see his negs would.

I tried to look at his feedback, and he made it private?

it says "This member, coinsandstuff2, has decided to make their feedback comments private. Feedback can still be left for this user and the ratings left are shown above in summary format. Learn more about private feedback. "

I didnt know you could make feedback private....hahaha....and I certainly would NEVER buy from someone when I cant see that image

    what an idiot

Unfortunately the type of people who routinely make bad bids/buys on ebay never bother to look at feedback so for some it will make no difference and they will still bid.
