Could you have been looking at the 1879-CC in the Bowers book?

Are you sure you're reading the list correctly? A 79-P goes for 45/50 greysheet

The Q. David Bowers book has the same price values listed for the 1879-CC and the 1879. The entire book is riddled with editing errors, and this looks to be another one. Whoever did the editing work on this book shouldn't be switching to decaf....

  • Yup PCGS has it listed at $52.00 So, I guess if You had a choice between the 1899 and the 1899-CC, I would choose the 1899-CC. image

See how easy it is to make typing errors. image

I've noticed a lot of editing errors in quite a few numismatic books. I wonder why that is.
