    Good catch, shylock. Did it get redder, or was it just the photos?

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    Kranky - just your typically dark Heritage copper pics, no one would play with a coin like that. And probably a consignment to DHRC. It's so clean it's hard to find flaws to compare on the images, but about half a dozen hallmarks match up perfectly.

    the mark over S in STATES and the weakness in the denticles convinced me. Funny that if that mark over the S was on the cheek, that would be a two-point drop. Same mark, different place = big drop in grade.
