Crack in a buffalo nickel

Is this a lamination error? It is on the back of the head (front) traveling through the feathers on a 1937-s buffalo nickel. Can you tell I am playing with my magnifier, oops I mean my new 5X to 20X power loupe? I am playing at grading coins now. I have found out that with my new loupe I can see dead people... Looks like a planchet defect of some sort--not sure if it's actually a lamination, though.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
