Flair Final Edition Box (Pack) Break...somebody shoot me please...

I rip a lot of modern wax, but this one, relatively small purchase really ticks me off. Paid $100 at the local mall card rip-your-face-off emporium, and got this -

I just wanted to give this product a shot, but I am not spending $100 for a pack of Jermaine O'Neal GU cards again...

ouch. i had that happen once on a higher end product- only it was 3 gu cards of...damon stoudamire...not #d (i think 1 mightve been). think i got a whopping $10 back on my $100 investment.

some other cards i forget (They've already sold on ebay). not bad and i think when all's said and done, i might actually come out ahead on the boxes. from flair MLB, i pulled a prior auto #/10 and many other great cards- i came out ahead when all was said and done.

far better than exquis*it, sp authentic, sp game used, ultimate collection- or ANY ud product

A $100 a pack Fleer product just sounds like a waste. No Lebron, Jordan, Kobe, Garnett, Shaq, or Yao AUTO's or jerseys possible. Carmelo is the only card you could possibly pay for your pack with, and possibly a low numbered McGrady or Dwayne Wade AUTO. Upper Deck products are a huge gamble, but of the top 50 highest basketball singles sales this year, I would guess 40 of them were from Upper Deck products (and a few of the top 50 would be the $3500-$4500 on Finest Gold Refractor LeBron redemptions which you can probably get for about ten percent of that now).

You are exactly right, Jason. I knew going in this was a major roll of the dice, but I figured the Fleer would find some other ways of making up for the lack of LeBron, MJ, Kobe, etc. Little did I know it would be with Jermaine O Mania!

Man sox..that's bad. I'm sorry. I learned my lesson with Flair BB this year. They just don't have the names to really make this work IMHO. And now Jeter signed exclusive with UD so they pretty much have Randy Johnson and Albert Pujols.
