  • Yes! And dont forget about those who pay too much for their toned coins. It is called the society of "Oh crap I paid too much for this darn thing!" Dealer participation in this society will be limited Im sure! image
In an insane society, a sane person will appear to be insane.

I know we are all intitled to our opinion but please let's give the new organization a little time to form before bashing it (or making fun of what it is all about and who the members are).

    thanks

Well, lets see......everybody gripes when nothing is down......then when something is started that is open to everyone its bashed.

Come on folks, can't have it both ways. I am very surprised Andy. image

Bryan - I don't really understand what you're saying but I meant no offense. I think toned coins are cool and I think educational efforts regarding toning are fantastic. I also think that everyone should be encouraged to collect what they like. I do, however, find it bizarre to see club where the focus is on the condition of the coins rather than the coins themselves. (Lest you feel I'm picking on you, I'll also say that I would also find it bizarre to find out that there was a new club for collectors of uncirculated coins.) All that said, I look forward to the day when I see educational exhibits at coin shows in which various types of toning (NT and AT) are displayed and explained. That would be very worthwhile.

I don't find the idea of a club for toned coin lovers to be strange at all- in fact, I'd say it's past due. I'd love to hear some thoughts from others about this....
