Are all Carson City Gold coins expensive? If not whats about the lowest price?

The least expensive is the 91-CC $5. You could probably get a nice AU in the $350-400 range. I do not think any other issue is less expensive than the 91-CC $5.

$10 91-cc is about the same price as the $5 but you get a bigger coin.

I just bought my first CC gold coin yesterday, an 1889 Double Eagle, its in a PCGS AU 58 holder. (Sorry no pic's yet). Its an average priced CC $20.00 gold piece.

Not really. PCGS VF30 I got for $250.00

The key is patience. Good buys don't come around often, but they are out there. Try to avoid the cleaned or problem coins that appear to be a bargain. They aren't! Good luck in your hunt.

Im not collecting them, just have a great appeal to gold, and was wondering. Im hoping that one day I could assemble a collection a gold coins, but doubt it would ever work out.
