Should I slab any of these toners... Part I (lotsa pretty pictures!)

airplanenutairplanenut Posts: 22,149 ✭✭✭✭✭
I'm seeing if I should put a submission together of some new toners I've purchased (probably NGC, since I can drop them off at NYINC next week, and probably modern, because almost none of the coins are pre-1955). My grades are in parenthesis.

Here's Part I:

1941 10c, Lustrous (MS64)--can't go modern

1951-D 25c, Lustrous (MS65+)--can't go modern

1954-D 25c, Lustrous (MS63+, may hit 64)--can't go modern, not a high thought for submission

1956-D 25c, Lustrous (MS64+)

1958-D 25c, Lustrous (MS65)

1961-D 50c, Very lustrous (MS63+, great shot at FBL... if not, then it is REALLY close)

Thanks for your opinions on these! I'll do a post with smaller denominations a little later image

I think the 51 Washington's and maybe the second 54D have a shot at 66. The rest of the Washingtons I think will end up in 64/65 holders. And if any come back as AU58's, I'm in the markets.

    Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.

There are no dupilicate coins--same coins showing lustre and toning in different shots image

They'll be for sale--I highly doubt I'll be keeping any of these.

    Jeremy,

I would say that they would look very good in a capitol plastics holder or Dansco album. Save your money for more coins...

    Just my opinion.

If you are selling them outside of these boards (eBay, etc.), then slab 'em.

I would agree with Ken, slab em if your putting them on the bay or similar.......

Nice freaking coins...........I rarely find them that nice.

No Jeremy - you should not slab them - you should send them to me - I have a whole gallon of Jeweluster - given to me by an "admirer" of my Central States exhibit "Some call it Tarnish, We call it Toning" - the suggestion was I needed to pour the jeweluster over my exhibit to "brighten it up" image I still have some left image
