Okay, my wife got it in change, but I gave her the bill so she gave me the change. Got it at Universal Studios Orlando buying a drink (soda).

Yeah okay! That soda was 7-UP with Segrams 7 in it...who ya kiddin'. Just kiddin' Joe...Nice find on the Washie. I always appreciate finding a silver coin in change. Usually, once every 3 years or so.
3 years ago I got a 1951-D quarter in change at a yuppie wrap place in Boston.
A few weeks ago, I got a 1923 Lincoln cent in change from the Subway down the road from where I live. It's in good shape (no marks and even wear) and has a nice consistent milk chocolate color. I'm keeping it in my wallet for now.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are still many silver quarters and dimes still circulating.

In the mid - late 60's after they started with the clad coins I was very young, 10 or 11, and with any money I made I purchased bank rolls and took out all the siver coins. Over time I acquired $200 - $300 face value silver coins. my paerents had them locked in a drawer. Years later, I'm from a very, very, small town, My Mom gets a call from someone at the local grocery store, Youi see wher this is going. She explains that my little brother has been stopping and getting candy everyday before school. Which is fine but he's buying the candy with silver coins ..... Yes, he found away into the locked drawer and was getting change to buy candy ... about half the coins were put into circulation .. again ...
