  • I think it kinda sucks that they have a list of names they want to send the info to and are not putting it up for open auction. Not that I have an extra $1.25 mil or anything. image

    Wasn't there a Saturday Night Live skit once where somebody's Heismann was taken away and accidentally destroyed?

    It was some celebrity-athlete host--I can't remember. Anyway, funny stuff.

    EDIT: Oops, I remember now. It was a skit aired sometime around 1984, and Rich Hall, a castmember, was playing Doug Flutie, who just won the award. They offered to clean the trophy and in the process broke it, then completely mangled it by trying to weld it back together.
