New Non Paying bidder process

I had 2 of the nice people on eBay not paying for their auctions.

Starting 7/12 there is a new process where I get to communicate with them directly in the dispute console.

Oh goodie. Just give me my final fees back

This new policy to me is a crock. It just prolongs the process and allow the deadbeats more room to do their deads. I've been waiting for funds from an auction and was going to process a NPB tomorrow. Seems as if the long way is now in front of me. Ebay has gotten so money hungry over the last year it's pathetic.
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.
  • I'm empathic for you with your dead beat buyers, but on the flip side of the coin, and this has been discussed, is the treatment ebay gives some power sellers and others to get away with out right fraud and disception ... Just for their fees .. Oh yes .. there is Square Trade .. My opinion .. Forgive me for venting ..

Oh I wholeheartedly agree. I've been plunking along with Ebay since the early part of '98. It seems they keep honing their community to the powersellers and those who abuse, instead of those who use.

    4. Can the buyer delay the dispute and prevent me from receiving a Final Value Fee (FVF) credit?
No. The seller can either communicate with the buyer or close the dispute and receive the FVF credit after the buyer has responded at least once or if the buyer does not respond within 7 days. While we hope the seller will take advantage of the new process to work the situation out with the buyer, the seller can end communication at any time and receive their FVF credit.

Note the change to more politically correct terminology. It's not the "bidder" anymore, it's the "item". Deadbeats are now "unpaid items".
