Ahh - the cynic in me returns....
1) Fantasia - you're not good. Why did you have to sing so slowly? We didn't enjoy it.
2) Muhammed Ali. He just doesn't look good anymore. The Parkinson's has really affected him. In some ways I feel sorry for him - to me it was sad watching him trying to show his moves and play-punching at Jeter. But I never saw him box - so I may just be a cynic.
3) Three ceremonial first pitches?! What's up with that?

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Almost there.
I've heard of people having a lot of time on their hands, but 14 years?
This thread would have had a lot more responses 14 years ago if georgebrett had posted it.
Now that's a good zinger. LOL
Coinstartled has done this a few times before, brought back a necro-thread. I don't know what most here do for a living and I don't want to know, but if I had to guess what Coinstartled's profession is, it might be a mortician.
The HR Derby was exciting!
Next time he is banned he needs to come back as Lazarus2018. No one has the grave digging skills he has when it comes to resurrecting zombie threads. He is the Richie Hebner of the forum. Impressive

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I had to think about it for a second...Hebner was a grave digger, right? LOL
Yes! I remember it on the back of one of his baseball cards. He was a gravedigger in the off season

My old high school science teacher used to call it, "the vast reservoir of semi-useless knowledge" LOL
It’s been rattling around in my head for the last 40 plus years or so waiting to come out. I think your Mr Hand might be on to something

Well, i think i should get an assist for helping to bring out the important point in your head about Hebner...now immortalized forever in the CU forum...or at least until some bigger corporation buys them out and decides to delete the forum. LOL
Had to look up Hebner. The name sounded familiar!
