this was the ad on Ebay. The coin sold for $27.00


This is a 1828 One Dollar Coin.

I don't know anything about old coins but it is in pretty good shape considering the date on the front. It has an eagle on the back and says "one dollar"

On the front it says "in god we trust" but it looks like they spelled "trust" trvst.

This coin was found in a box of old nick nacks so I don't know much else about it. Sold as is with no gaurantee or representation of worth, value or condition. See front and back scans.

Its a 1928 peace dollar with a 8 instead of a 9.
I doubt it came from the mint like that.

HA! Someone in Ohio probably wishes they had that one for sale! I'd imagine an 1828 Peace Dollar has GOT to be unique!

Anyway, at least this seller was honest and clearly disclosed that it was bogus. She only got $10.45 for it, anyway.

But the coolest thing? This sucker has a MINT MARK, and I didn't think that happened until 1838!

I was watching this coin. but being the Rookie I am, I thought it had to be some type of fake. I should of bought it for the $27 just as a conversation piece.
