Vinny lives in Lumberton, NJ where they got 19.5" of rain yesterday. The National Weather service said it was a once in a thousand year event. The entire area is still under many feet of water.
It was one hell of an event to witness and try to travel through.
Please let us know you and your family is safe when you can Vinny and good luck.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

I hail from that area.
Saw pictures of Medford today with 3-4 ft. of water on the main street.
In my 33 years living there I never saw flooding so bad, even after a few tropical storms that rolled through.

It really sucks.
This is going to sound almost unimaginable,
but I live 10 minutes north of Vinny, and we
only received about 3 to 4 inches of rain.
God only knows how that happened,
but I hope Vinny's ok. He lives so close
that he dropped a card off at my house once.
Thank God for the drought we just had.
Our ground (which isn't sandy at all) absorbed all the rain.

Wife put her HS yearbooks in the basement.
Water heater broke. Luckily my cards were still
at my parents house. And now, they're at our house, but on the top floor.
Nothing but plastic and laundry in the basement now...but
some guys with this crazy hobby get relegated to the basement (sigh)(
1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards
