So am I the only one stupid enough to put coin pictures in my sets?
I noticed that hardly anyone ever puts photos of their pride and joys up
in the registry sets. Why not?
Is there a good reason to not do so? Maybe I should be like the other guys and remove all my photos too.

Like here. And here. And here.
Lucious coin there, David!
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Here's one of my Type Sets that have some nice images.
Here's my Large Cent Set. I'm expecting 2 more for this set in a few days or so. Perhaps before I add them I can imaged them and the rest of the coins in the set.
If you like Bust Dollars, you'll like the Cardinal Collection of Bust Dollars. Great eye candy.
Edited to say: Thanks to you, earlwbollinger, I got off my butt and imaged the 4 remaining large cents in my set. Hopefully I'll keep the 2 coming within the next few days and add them too.
I am one of those people that have a hard time with the "computer age" stuff.
Surely, I will figure it out one day!

Most of the coins are at the bank and several hundred coins later.....
I have started and stopped several times but with three kids, I would rather spend time with them instead of imaging the coins. Hopefully I will get to it but it is a low priority right now.

I like to look at the coins too.
Having photos or images helps a lot, as I don't have to go get them out of the safe to look at them.
Besides I always felt that it is a nice way to share them with others who might have an interest as well.
I started to get in the habit of scanning all the coins I get in as I get them in, thus I don't have to scan them all at once.
Very important, backup your coin images often, in case your compuiter crashes.
Now if the top rated sets would only put some pics of their coins in the registry.
Keyrock: I'd love to see photos of your 14-d and 25-s Lincolns! They sound nice!
Here's the 27-s I just bought (B+M image). (wish me luck it's as nice as the photo!)
Does anyone want to go over the best way to post photos on the Registry?

Thanks for sharing.
Also, this set: Linky for 1904 Proof Set
Most of the images are from a scanner. The scanner provides exacting detail, but not the color and luster. The digital images show better color and luster but are a bit harder to focus exactly. I plan to get all photographed by digital camera with composite images of obverse and reverse, but time is the biggest factor.

I try to get photos of all my coins into the registry.

Nothin' stupid there, as I see it.
Seems like some people has a lack of time and/or resources/skill to be able to include pics. Kudos to everyone who can and does!
