I too thought of a reply just like this to the "Anybody heard of Ed Ford" post. (Great and snarky minds think alike!) But then I thought, hmm, maybe this person is sincere and genuinely does not know. Though I suspect that anyone who would go to the trouble of joining Collector's Universe ... but who knows.

Oh OK, I can't resist either.... I have this really old card, Horus Wagonner or something... says Sweet Corporal or something on the back...

highend, you made me laugh and cough at the same time. Anyway, I heard Joe had his balls signed by Cicotte ... since Joe couldn't write. Say it ain't so!

My parents were cleaning out their garage and they found some really old baseball cards that I had when I was a kid. They were from the late 80's. I found an old Beckett I had too! I have (count 'em) TWO 1988 Donruss Gregg Jefferies. This real old price guide says that they are worth $6.00 each. Since baseball cards are worth a lot of money, and a bunch of them go up, how much has that Jefferies card gone up to? I would be willing to part with only one of them. I will take offers. These two cards are MINT because they don't have ANY creases.

Hate to break it to you, frank, but I'm using a stack of Jefferies rookies to prop up the corner of a wobbly bookcase. I would not be surprised if they are creased by now, but otherwise they are mint.

    (Yes I know you're joking!)
