Ed Ford - Anyone know anything about him?

I have this really old baseball with his signature on it. I'm trying to figure out what team it could be. The other signatures I can read include: Tom Ferrick, Vic Kasch, Gene Wooding, Joe Collins, Jack Jusen (sp)... Any ideas on what era, possible teams, and worth?
Thanks.

As for your other names, try Gene Woodling, Vic Raschi, and Jackie Jensen. And Ed Ford is best known by his nickname "Whitey".

Calm down young'un - I know it's tuff to believe that baseball existed before the I-70 series between KC and St. Louis. Kind of reminds me of the Beavis and Butthead episodes where Beavis asks Butthead when TV was invented and he says: "there's always been television buttmunch...just less channels".

Since Edward Charles "Whitey" Ford (also known as Slick and Chairman of the Board) only pitched for the Yankees, are there any names on this ball that look like they might start off "Mickey" or "Yogi"? Just wonderin'!

    Jsmithe,
I provided you a link yesterday with the 1950 Yankees on your other thread about the same topic, and nickm is correct as to some of the other correct names.
