BGS/PSA Card Values

Although of late I have turned my attention almost exclusively to vintage cards, I just purchased in an e-bay auction a BGS 9.5 Sosa Donruss Baseball's Best. It books for 575.00 in the most recent SMR, and I assumed the price I paid was a steal. It turned out to be a "semi steal" because I subsequently noticed that Beckett itself lists a 9.5 version of the card for 100.00 less than than the PSA version. I do not recall ever seeing a modern BGS card booking for less than PSA, let alone for that much. Can anyone provide any insight and, more particularly, what types of modern cards book for more in a PSA holder?

I bought that card in PSA 10 for less than $175 a few weeks ago. I hope it was a fluke and decent deal, because it's supposedly Sammy's scarcest rookie (if anything from that period is scarce!). But I have no illusions that I could turn around and sell it for $575.
I assume the first few PSA 10's of that card sold for that kind of money, and since then some more 10's have entered the market, maybe a lot more. Hopefully SMR will catch up to the current market on Sammy and many others.
At any rate, not sure people on these boards would concede that values accorded to PSA 10 would apply to BGS 9.5.
