I'm pretty happy with this purchase even though I won it on Ebay. I really liked it for the toning and I don't think it is AT.
So what do you think of the toning?
I'm a pretty conservative buyer as I mentioned be4. but enjoy all the feedback that I receive in here.
Keep it up
Ok now Im asking on this coin for opinions on the toning AT or natural, the reason being is: In the PCGS coin grading and counterfeit detection book on page 65 under toning ...Peripheraluote"Another way peripheral toning is acquired is from Wayte Raymond type cardboard holders,....most people no the story with these holders...these holders contained sulphur and other chemicals that reacted with the coins from the edge inward, leading to the golds, blues, reds, yellows, and otlher colors" I've read this Ebayers feedback and coins aren't his main business just off and on.10-20% of the time. with 100% feedback. So in my opinion (limited) I think the coin may of been cleaned at one time because the reverse looks suspect but on the other hand it could be the afore mentioned, but not necessarily W.R. Toning.
plus to me the colors don't look like crayolas

LittleBit, my advice is never ever ever to buy any toned Morgan that is not in a PCGS or NGC holder. While certified coins may cost a bit more, you are assured of getting a genuine coin that has not been cleaned, artificially toned, or otherwise interfered with in a way that reduces its true value.
Anyway, that's just my advice to protect you from accumulating a bunch of coins that will prove to be impossible ever to sell ...

Not bad advice, but even a PCGS or NGC slab won't *guarantee* the toning isn't artificial. It will usually guarantee that almost everyone involved in the buying and selling of toned Morgans won't actively question the toning.
All you're guaranteeing is the general trust of the marketplace -- not perfection.
