Forgive me if this has been covered already - I've been out of town and just rifled through my latest Coinworld.
So Superior is listing quotes from "darktone" to show what a grade-A firm they are? Huh? Who the hell is darktone? I mean I know who he is in that he posts here, and he has a Packer's helmet for an icon and seems like a good guy - but did this strike anybody else as totally bizarre?
Why don't they ever quote me in their ads? Here - they can use this one:
" . . . I think Superior blows. I sold some colonials in one of their recent auctions and the photography was abysmal, the right-ups stank (ibid) and I'll never even consider using them again".

I missed it, but I agree with you completely. It is absurd. They might as well have quoted anonymous, as that is what most of us are here.

The ad contains a box labelled as: 'What Collectors Say About Superior Auction Catalogs' and quotes both darktone (twice actually) and PreTurb.
I wonder if either guy knew he was going to be quoted?

Now, I need to go send some extra tax money to the IRS, just because I like to.

The last coin I won on one of their auctions took 2 1/2 weeks to arrive after they rec'd payment. I saw another listed in their inventory that I was interested in and requested pictures, 2 weeks later I got 4 pics emailed to me. 2 different coins and not the one I was looking at. I sent them an email asking them to send me the coin, if I liked it I'd send them a check...still waiting.

Hahahaha, I wonder if you'll be sued for that? Seems like we can be sued for just about anything from anyone these days

Thats scary.
I'd be interested to know if the two quotes attributed to darktone were actually things he wrote:
1) " . . . take my word, get the Superior Galleries catalog - it's great."
2) " . . . one of the best auction catalogs I've ever seen."
"Now, I need to go send some extra tax money to the IRS, just because I like to."
