I agree with Russ. VF25 all the way.

    30

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • VF25 image ... If it's true it's definite image

What makes you think it's VF25 or even 30?

I based my grade on my very scientific WAG method.

I am a spoil sport here. The 1910 comes with a bit stronger LIBERTY and is usually overgraded a bit. I would call it a F15 or F18, and would not buy it or sell it as a VF. I think that it is a damn fine looking Barber half though.

Just my opinion though, and I think that ANACS & NGC would definitely grade it VF. For VF grades I look for complete bottom wing feather detail and three full lines on the Eagles left wing.

1910 VF20 Even though the LIBERTY is very strong, the overall details are about VF. VF20-25 is the grade I have given this one.

F-15. Nice coin but it doesn't meet the standard for VF. No more gradeflation.
    All glory is fleeting.
  • Thanks for all your opinions.

Like the "spoil sport" image has mentioned, I too have to agree it is no more than F18 imo.

  • Since there isn't a true F-18 grade (and that's a shame), this has to be a F-15. It's just a little short of detail on the wing feathers and LIBERTY to call it a VF20. Sorry.
  • Almost forgot...

Tyler's coin is a full VF25. The laurel wreath detail is better than a VF25 and the wing feather detail is classic VF25 (3 feathers left, 2 feathers right). In fact, I wouldn't be against calling it a weak VF30.

    Brian,

As Tyler mentioned, the 1910 does come with a decent strike, however that doesn't hurt this coin. It a borderline VF 20, and as Cary mentioned, its too bad there isn't a F 18 grade.

Regardless whether or not its a F15, F18, or a VF 20, its a very nice coin.

    Nice pick up.
