Market, Techinal, Grading Cos.

I think I have a handle on the difference between technical and market grading thanks to the ANA grading video. I'm not sure where I got the following from, but I would appreciate any comments or corrections:

PCGS, NGC, ICG use the market form of grading

ANACS uses the technical form of grading.

If this is the case, comparing a grade assigned to a coin by ANACS against PCGS, NGC, or ICG would make no sense. I bring this up because of a few posts I've seen mentioning disappointments in ANACS's grade given to some coins?

    Jerry,

I look for high luster coins in ANACS holders, because "I believe" they grade more technically, and the ANACS coins with flash would frequently cost more in PCGS/NGC holders. That's just my opinion/observation, and may be worth nothing. image

    Well, who uses technical grading?

I don't believe any of the slabbers use technical grading these days. It'd be financial ruin since all the best coins would cross higher to PCGS/NGC and the rest would stay in theirs. Remember, technical grading doesn't automatically mean better grading. It just uses fewer factors to isolate grade.
