Went to the bank...

and got $400 worth of rolls, some pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and halves. I got nothin. I only found 2 wheaties (1941 and 1941-S), the oldest nickel I found was an 1959 something, not a notable dime, quarter, or half.

i don't have an account at this bank ( a long standing bank in a small community). I was surprised that I had to use the "I've got connections" line in order to get these rolls. They said they couldn't sell me rolls of change if I didn't have an account. I've heard banks not wanting to count rolls, but not give change? This caught me by surprise.

I do this about once every 6 months or so. I usually don't find anything and I'm not sure I'll do it again. Does anybody really find anything worth their time doing this?

You never know when you might get rolls good stuff. You might get one roll and find ten nice coins or buy one hundred and get none.

In a year of looking I came up with $100 face of 90% silver halves and $500 in 40% silver Kennedys. From rolls and getting the bags from the change machines at banks!

Found a few error coins, including a 1974 Lincoln with a big cud, and various foreign and wheat cents.Nothing really old or worth much above face though.
