Went antique shopping today

I went antique shopping with my aunt and uncle today. I purchased a couple of nice "The Star Rare Coin Encyclopedias". They are the 32nd and 24th edition. I probably paid more then I should have for them but they are both in very nice condition. The 32nd edition has a light fold on the front corner. And the 24th edition has a small tear on the front cover. There are no tears on the inside of either of the books. The binding is very strong on both books. The binding on the outside of the 24th edition has pulled loose about a quarter of an inch on the bottom but it is still attatched. There are a few stains on both books but what do you expect for books from the 20s. I paid $9 for the 32nd edition and $7 for the 32nd edition. We also say a very nice antique coin cabinet that had 44 drawers that were about 24 inches wide.At the bottom there was a cabinet that was about 1 foot tall. It was about 5 foot tall so there was lots of room to store the coins. It was a great cabinet but it was missing the doors that covered up the drawers. The seller was asking $699 for it. I had a great time looking at it and all of the other antiques.

Being a collector of Civil War Tokens I remember one ad in the Star Catalog where he offered to buy them at one dollar per hundred remarking that they had little or no value.
It comes to a point, where the process of searching becomes more enjoyable than the prize., although the prize can pleasantly surprise you, I keep my expectations low.
