I nearly had a heart attack today at the swapmeet. Twice. First...a little old man tried to sell me 1/10th oz. GAE's for $95 apiece. However...he was going to give me 10% off because it was a "close-out" sale. You don't wanna know just how proud he was of his common date $5 Liberty. He had all sorts of circulated silver coins of all denominations at prices that would make The Coin Vault people call him a thief.

Second near heart attack...a gentleman had a couple of circulated '92, and a couple of circulated '93 Columbian Expo halves. I asked him how much, and he told me $200 apiece.

I laughed and said, "The Columbian half dollars?"
He said, "Yes. Check the books on those."

I told him that I'd cut him a hell of a deal. I'd sell him 7 in better condition for $100 apiece and he could double his money. He passed on it and I was laughing so hard that I forgot to say, "They're worth it, check the book on those."

Anyhoo...Plenty of coins, but I didn't find a single reasonably priced coin out there today.

Except for my "furrin" gold, everything is already slabbed.
