Has anyone else had this problem?

I ordered a package from New York and they sent tracking with it. It shipped on the 28th, was in New Jersey on the 29th, and in Washington on July 7th and now is in Illinois on the 10th. Why did they need to ship this package all the way across the country, to bring it back to me in the midwest, I haven't even gotten it still.

It is with USPS.
