1.) The D-Backs actually pitched to Barry (no walks) on Friday. He went 3 for 5 and

lowered his OB%.

2.) Before that he was leading the NL in hitting - - - and he had more intentional walks than hits !!

yeah and he also joined the home run contest......AFTER GETTING PAID FOR IT!

What a jerk, this guy always amazes! All the 500 home run club guys are going to be there and Barry
the jerk would only join in MLB paid him for his time.

Im going to go vomit now.

PS no on cares about on base % and no one cares about walks!

story that directly refutes your statement, exc erpt below

<< <i>Baseball officials also disputed the report of compensation, saying no players receive money to participate in the contest.

"(Bonds) was treated in the same manner as every other participant," said Howard Smith, baseball's senior vice president of licensing.

"We are extremely grateful Barry recognizes the historic significance of this year's event and what his participation means to baseball fans. It is extremely disappointing to major league baseball and the San Francisco Giants that his intentions have been grossly misrepresented." >>

LOL....you forget to show us the statment where Bonds was quoted to say that payment would be
for his time off day and that that was more important to him......actually what he didn't say is that
it was more important to him than say.....showing up for the fans, but we all know what Barry is about.
MLB had to pay the man to show up, thats sad and so is Barry Bonds.
