Now you're working it... I, for the first time, heard on the street, plans for the layman to put all extra into plat. bullion. I laid the groundwork (up/down percentages verses contracts, delivery of bars, etc.) for the 70s. We'll see...
Sure, man...let's slab everything. It protects what's inside and it makes it easier to handle, examine and enjoy. The question is, can it be cleaned properly after PCGS breaths all over it and put their paws on it, and I swear someone there is losing their friggen eyebrows lately as a huge percentage of my coins are entombed with PCGS DNA.
MrPlatinum, you are going to take a huge beating on these boards. So many of these people are jealous know it alls that harp on the negative unless you fall into the collector/underdog roll - you do not! Trust me on this one, find another way to market your stuff as this crowd are not buyers anyway. I personally don't go for the marketing gimmick coins with autographs and the bullion coins etc but I do appreciate the donation aspect.
That's pretty cool. I like your suggestion of a one day walk-through although I'd probably offer it as a free enticement for the new owner rather than at a fee.
Slabbing it would help protect it more, and let you look at it more often with less fear of getting it damaged. I would think though, that with only five coins like this, it would be hard to compare to something else to determine grading standards for a series. I guess you need to look very closely for imperfections and see if anything would detract thus lowering the grade. Of course with only 5 made, it might be tough to authenticate it. So they might decline to grade it.

The thing with this coin, if it's a 66 I would like 1% premium, 67 2% and 68 3%
It's a 62-65 no premium.
If it's a 69, that puppy will never leave my hands, although I dont think it'll ever go that high.
We'll see what interest this sparks, and yes the 100k price is a realistic number.
You're right I am going to start slabbing everything.

I'm just worried about grading such a coin might deter someone if it's an MS-65 for example.
I personally feel this coin is a min grade of 67.
But then again, I've been proven wrong many times, either in one direction or another.
Only 5 more posts til' I'm a senior member. lol
