Lil tidbit for gettin more "coin money."

Whether you're aware of it or not, most coin shops have some very good deals on diamonds.
But....what's even better is the WHOLESALE deals they can cut for anyone with the gumption to actually take a few on consignment and sell to co-workers and family at SUBSTANTIAL discounts to what they ...used to think....diamonds cost.
I did that with several customers and we both made a bunch on each deal.
Just another lil trick to get some more money to waste on coins.
One gal even started having "jewelry house parties" and sold stuff by the bucketload.

You can usually buy the ...slow...movers for 50% back of Rap.
IF the dealer is looking to free up some cash.
Figure on 40% back if you are a "regular" or 15-25% if you are trying to pry out a NICE one for resale.
Diamonds are kept "secret" by most jewelers.
The real "secret" is that ANYONE can learn it all with 2 hours of decent instruction that covers 90% of the issue. An investment of a further 200-500 (or less) should get you an electronic diamond tester, another Moissanite detector, loupe, good sizer, and some master stones.
edited to correct some backwards percentages
