1933-D Lincoln MS66RD on ebay - Overpriced? Auction Ended

I have one of these that I paid $XXX for a year ago. If the scan on the auction is even close to accurate, it's nowhere near as good as mine. Have these gone up that much in the last year?

Any opinions would be appreciated!

Mike

Edit - It went for $400 - the one offered by lincolncentman has a BIN of $410 - looks a lot better!!

What is it, one of only three coins that year.

Good for different kinds of collection.

    I would like one

Its a 245/14 coin. Probably not too many in 66RD, especially for a"D" mint, still sitting in rolls so the POP is not going to go up dramatically. With the inflation of these coin the past few years I don't see too much problem with it, especially when I already have one image
  • I respect your opinion, clack - I just get freaked out on some of the prices on the wheats lately! I've got a '20-P in a PCGS 64RD holder which is easily a lock 65, borderline 66. This and several others I'm tempted to crack - not for the $'s but just to upgrade my registry set. I wish I could see this '33-D in-hand. Maybe the scan/pic is poor?

Take a look at David's auction for this same coin(linconcentman here on the boards). His is way better!!

If the scans/pics are both accurate, then lincolncentman's is much better and closer to the way mine looks. If I needed one of these, I'd BIN his at $410 - the other's at $400 and doesn't look nearly as good.

I'm glad I already have one which is a very PQ 66.

coinbuf - That has to be a great set! Is it in the Regisrty? I'm #34 right now but to move up is getting more and more difficult! I'm really not fixated on rankings as much as I want to build a nice set. I'll never crack the top 20, but I can assemble a beautiful set nonetheless.

I'm too poor to do all PCGS coins; I'm number 5 on the NGC registry.
