On May 1st , 2004 the Captain was batting 0.168. Jeter is now batting 0.280 and leads the Yankees in hits.

    I guess my point is that it's pretty amazing he was able to raise his average 112 points in 2 month and 90 points within the last 30 days or so. I believe he was batting .190 or thereabouts on June 1st.
