Congratulations to yawie99 who has completed his C56 hockey set. The first ever hockey set produced is very difficult to find in mid to high grades and Steve has some great cards.

Thanks! I must've hit refresh on the Registry home page 347 times today. It was even more obsessive than entering invoice numbers and ZIP codes (or Postal Codes, for my friends north of the border) every 20 minutes. Anyway, it's pretty cool to finally see 100 percent next to my name.

I don't collect hockey cards, but I always enjoy looking at vintage sets of any cards that have great scans! Your collection is top-notch. You should be proud of this accomplishment. Thanks for sharing your set!

Tell me about it. I feel like I've been at 99 percent forever with that one, though it's probably actually been less than 6 months. Hopefully a nice Howe will fall from the skies one of these days.

I'm not into Hockey that much either, but that is an impressive feat. I'm assuming the cards are fairly difficult to come by.

Like others, I'm not a hockey guy, but I really appreciate the great scans. Did anyone else notice that all the paintings on the 53 seem to be of the same guy? Maybe there's a set of triplets they used, but all the guys look amazingly similar!

Seriously, though...great sets. It also looks like you've got some of the top cards in top shape for the Patterson set. Nicely done!

At only 36 cards, the set is such that you could put a decent looking one together without spending too terribly much, ARL. I'm pretty sure there's at least a half dozen others besides who's on the Registry collecting it, so you'll see some competitive auctions - not to mention some with, ahem, questionable bidding patterns - but I think you could probably pick up many if not most of the cards in the set in VG quality for roughly $40 to 80 each.

And seriously, man, thanks for looking at the scans. I'm totally obsessive about it. I think I'm on at least my third set of scans for my sets. Thank goodness these aren't '70s baseball sets. I'm a little worried that when PSA unveils the Registry update that they'll somehow change the image hosting so that I feel compelled to scan everything at least once more.
