Home World & Ancient Coins Forum

Hi everyone!

I got back from Hong Kong a few days ago and got the local cable monopoly to reconnect me to a cultural wasteland filled with inappropriate metaphors and crass commercialism.image I had a nice time in HK and visited some old British coastal defence sites and the HK Coastal Defence Museum, which was a converted British fort that saw some fighting from the Second World War. On the pocket change front most of the coins were heavily circulated and were not really worth collecting - my apologies for getting your hopes up.

Things I have learned in Hong Kong:

Many people work from 8:00 am to 6:00pm or longer and they still have no job security.

People weld without welding goggles.

Scaffolding workers on the second floors of buildings throw bamboo sticks that are 2-3 inches in diameter to a person at street level.

At the HK-Macao ferry terminal sex tours to Macao were sold openly at travel agencies and there was even a police reporting station in the mall.

There seemed to be a lot more porn in DVD and VCD stores on Temple street.

Rifles are illegal in HK, but shotguns are not.

TV and the internet are evil creations that waste people's free time, therefore I will ration my usage from now on!
