CHECK OUT MY NEW WEB SITE

Here is a link to my new web site: www.monstersofthegridiron.com
After 20 years of being involved in this great hobby as a collector i have decided to try my hand at the business side of things. I will still be an active collector and im even starting some new 1950's and 60's football sets in straight PSA 7 grade but i've always wanted to be in the card business so here goes. I will be attending several major shows a year but only setting up at a couple like The National, Sports Fest or The Fort but i will always be buying if you have anything to sell pre-1970 graded PSA 7 or higher (all sports).
Please check out my site and i'd like to hear some feedback of what people think about it. I built the site myself and it's the first one i've ever built so be kind

I also have over 150 more pre-1970 PSA 8's and 9's comming in so there will be many more additions to the web site this month.
Thank you for your time and i appreciate any and all feedback.

You done good. The prices are very reasonable too.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but you should provide scans ...
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
Paul will you be incorporating scans into the website? I think people are more inclined to click see and buy rather than have to request a scan.
Like i said im new to all this and the only thing that i haven't figured out how to do yet is to link scans to the cards i have listed but as soon as i can figure that out then yes i will be adding scans.
Paul.

Just kiddin'. I think it looks real clean, which is a virtue you don't always find with websites offering cards for sale. And I really like the layout of the home page. Well, except for the notable absence of any hockey scans, of course.
In your personal collection? I've found it very hard to collect and also commit to selling people cards they want at the same time.
They'll be like, can you find me a 19** PSA *? And for me, I've had to choose between collecting and selling to satisfy customers.
For me it's been just too much to try both, so I had to give up collecting when I went full time. Maybe Jay can relate to this. Maybe it's just me.
Anyhow, it's always nice to have a new site to search for what I need. Much luck! GO FOOTBALL!
Jeremy
Thats a lot of PSA 8s, where are all the 9s?
There on your web site!
As far as collecting goes i've put my best stuff on the web site and i've "started again" with some 1950's and 60's football sets that im going to try to build in straight psa 7 NQ. I've started 1962 and 1958 Topps football sets and i may add one more, maybe 1948, 54 or 55 bowman football set. The main reason i started this business is becouse i enjoy buying, selling and interacting with people as much as collecting cards for myself so for me it's win-win.

JEREMY - Sometimes I find its the opposite. I started many registered sets after getting my submissions back and saying, man these look good. So I collect them for awhile and when I hit a brick wall w/ low pops, i then decide to break the set up, I've done that w/ '33 Goudey, T201, T202, '54 Bowman (FB & BB), '55 Bowman BB, '60 Topps FB, '61 Fleer BB, '60 Fleer BB, '41 PB, '65 Topps, '66 Topps etc... I always leave a few sets to play with for myself as it gets real boring just buying/submitting to sell. Right now I'm collecting a few sets from the 1911 T3's to 1972 Topps Hockey to 1969 Football 4/1's, and a couple of non sports too! Its not just a business for me, I like the fun of collecting too!...jay

This is by far what makes up for it all. BTW - I know you have some somewhere, I'll be watching!
<< <i>So I collect them for awhile >>
This is just it . . .I collect them for a while until someone says - hey BTW do you have any 74 FB PSA 9s? So once I get a large lot up (of really just about any year), I say to myself, I could do this set. But then it gets picked away at and I really never make a lot of headway. Which is fine by me really, because I like watching other people's collections grow almost more than I like collecting myself.
It happened with 1959, 1962, 1970, 1974, 1977 & 1987 - at one time I had very nice starts on those sets, but now I don't even start them because I know they will only be short term attempts.
Don't get me too wrong, I like collecting and I have some real odd type stuff I've put away, some autos, fleer tattos, maybe a graded card or two, but nothing that is competition level. I'm glad you found a good mix Jay.
