Wow!! Serious 1951 Bowman Action

Talk about some heavy bidding between two heavyweights!!!!!.

Maybe this is normal for '51 Bowmans, but these two Bowman 9's seem to have done quite well considering they sold for 11 and 6 times SMR respectively. It seems like the magic combination of very low pops's and two very serious bidders.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • MikeSchmidt,

I recognize Branca's ID, but is qualityfhorseracing another player outside of those 3 you mentioned? I always see that ID popup on the HIGH $$ items.
    Looking for:
    1953 Topps in PSA 8
    1941 Playball in PSA 8.
1952-1955 Red Man cards in 7 and 8
    1950 Bowman in PSA 8

I believe that Don is "idontbelievewhatijustsaw" on eBay (unless he has multiple ID's). The 51's are indeed hot and have been for awhile. Thomson is a tough and desirable card and goes for multiples of SMR in PSA 8. A 1 of 1 PSA 9 is definitely going to attract alot of competition.
  • I see Branca and Merkel as 1 and 2 , with "Vintage Corvette" and Fogel as 3 and 4, but not threatening to 1 and 2.

Where is Don Loucious and who is "Vintage Corvette"?

I am currently 5 and no threat to anyone. I would like to think that my inexpensive PSA7's are as nice as their PSA8's and PSA9's.

I am still missing a #198-Irwin. I used to have one , but it turned up missing from my set during one of the Nationals several years ago.

Vintage Corvette is anonymous by choice. I sold him several of my 51's when I broke up my set.
