Two headed Morgan.

Here are some pics of a pretty well made novelty I own. The face of the reverse has been cut away, and another obverse has been inserted. The left pic is the added face, notice the denticals are not part of the rim.The right pic is the original mint face.

BTW if you flip this coin,it doesn't make the distinct sound that silver does as it comes off your thumbnail.

I'm glad the date is 1885 and not 1895...

That would be a real shame!

  • Hi,

Yup, if that date was 1895... it would be a 2x2 and listed in an "I know nothing about coins" auction on Ebay.

    This would be the auction:

"My Grandfather collected coins, he died recently and left his collection to me. I don't collect coins and I know nothing about them... hopefully, maybe, this will be worth something to someone. It looks like an old silver dollar made in 1895, I'm not sure. I don't know how to grade or anything. Please no returns, I took some big pictures, please just judge for yourself and bid accordingly."

Of course... only the obverse of the coin would be pictured.

    Spanky
