UNOPENED Box of 25 1966 SMS with Dec. 29 1966 stampings on box. What would the price be for something like this?

    For an unopened box of 25. Actually, that sounds about right.

    '67 sets have been bringing premiums up to 150% or a little more. I would expect
    the '66 to do a little better because of the no-FG and lower price.

    I'd guess they'd go in this range if the top buyers are vying for them.

    Another question. The stamp says it came from the San Francisco Mint. Did San Fran mint produce the SMS coins without puting the S mintmark on them?

    Yes. There was a mint mark freeze at the time (no mint marks were allowed) that was not lifted until January 1, 1968. image

    San Francisco was also making cents and quarter for circulation in 1967.
