Another great eBay transaction

I ran across this auction the other day and couldn't hit the BIN button fast enough. The seller used scans, but I am very familiar with this pattern, and as a matter of fact the seller even described it perfectly. Sure enough, I get the coin today and here it is:



And no stman, it is not for sale.

I saw that one when it was first listed. If I knew that it looked that good(I do like cresent toning) I would have grabbed it. Here's one that I bin'd on the 4th.

The seller was asking $10 above greysheet. Haven't recieved it yet.

There was someone on one of the picture threads that said he couldn't afford a nice toned Morgan. They are out there, you just need to be able to read scans. That one you got is nice, if I had seen that $10 over greysheet I would have snagged it too!

Trooper and K6AZ - nice finds and your efforts searching the internet today are analogous to the searching of pocket change in years past. The fun is in the hunt and the find. Now, tell us how much time and effort do you spend searching to locate a find such as these?

It only takes me a few minutes everyday looking at eBay. The trick is to know how to use eBay's search engine syntax system to where you can include and exclude certain terms.

That seller is great isn't he? Even if a coin is overgraded he will state his opinion in the auction. He grades from the "old school" and is pretty tough from my experiences with him. Which IMO is a good thing.

The coin? Ahhh, just another cool turd toned Morgan. Doesn't have the bands of rainbow like the "Twin ladies" you have. Next!!!

Hit it on the nose about the searches....I do have a little more time on my hands now(from 4 months ago) so I do check more often then most, but the checks are really quick.

Basically it just timing....
