  • That means it's time for about a billion cards starting at 150% of SMR.

Is it today the 8th of July?
I never seem to get any notices by email, or anything.
Maybe Ebay doesn't like me. All my preferences are set for "send me everything". All I get are holiday special garbage for blouses and summer fun crap.

Maybe you get blouse promos because they've seen your CU icon? image

Cornholio said it. You will now see every Mike Wheat, Wayne Varner, BMW, etc... card listed for the next nine days clogging your usual searches. None of their cards will sell, the prices will make you gag and they will actually be hurting themselves in the process because it's just spam. My advice would be to put out some cards at realistic prices and show the buying public they are willing to be human. I don't want to see anymore PSA 2 Delong Gehrigs for $3500 from 707. So, if any of the vendors are listening, "Surprise us". You might even get a rush from the new fad sweeping the land called "selling".

Scumbi hits it perfectly. I almost dread these days because of the onslaught of crap it produces from the same dealers over and over again. I would not be suprised if it actually hurts listings a bit. I was going to list a bunch of stuff tonight, and now I might wait so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

    FYI...

I won't be listing crap like Mike Wheat, this is the perfect opportunity to unload some dupes that I have sitting around the house which I have bought in lots of ebay. All of my auctions will be "Buy It Now" at $.99. Last time I listed 100's of 60's FB and got rid of them all but 1 card. It gives the buyer a chance to pick up some set fillers, unlike MW who lists his BIT way to high.

I looked at Mike Wheats finished auctions last time and he did VERY well. You have to remember that depending on his opening price, he is getting 30-50 listings for the price of one normal listing. These guys are spending upwards of a $1000 on these listings, if it didn't make sense they wouldn't do it.

I just listed 60 football and basketball stuff. Mainly all football. I've never used the fixed price, but have nothing to lose. I think my prices are pretty fair for what they are. If any board members are interested, I'll pay for insured shipping & tracking if you purchase. I need dough. Have too many cards waiting to submit.

Why does ebay only let us know about these specials at 11:45pm the night before they start. If they really wanted to be nice they would let everyone know a few days in advance.
