    Well it is "Bright". image

  • MS-61 probably-- MS-62 POSSIBLY. Definitely not an MS-63, and I'm standing by it!

    Is this your auction ?
  • Either the photography is poor or there's no "LIBERTY" on the head band - or both.

I've got a few 1907s that look much better than this one. One of them I SOAKED in that e-z stuff. It looks better than the coin in question.

I wonder if he/she made a mistake in the opening bid. Maybe he/she meant $6.50, if that be the case, that's too much.image

  • Email exchange. I sent this to him on 7/8/04

    Dear sierratrade,

I take it you've honestly never seen a mint state Indian head cent. the one you're listing has been harsly cleaned, and would be graded at about Good-04. Worth about 20 cents. Not a shot in hell at getting 60 bucks for it.

    reply on 7/12/04

Thanks for your shot in hell unsolicitated opinion.
  • ah, more email exchange.

    I replied with

Go right on ahead and say that. But it’s been listed for 4 days and not a single bid. Plus, check this out: http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=303359&highlight_key=y&keyword1=1907

    You just got owned.

    He replied:

    your an Ass!

    To which I replied:

For telling it like it is? Right, you go ahead and think that. Meanwhile, you should go back to school and learn to spell. “Your” implies of or belonging to you or yourself or yourselves as possessor or possessors. “You’re”, however, means “you are”, in which case, you meant to type “You’re an ass”.

    Thank you, come again.

    This is fun.
  • coins like these should be spent.

UNquestionably. Here's a REAL MS-63, one I sold last Friday:

Slightly better than a harshly cleaned G-4 1907 cent
