Is it just me, or are there a thousand and one start-up "grading" companies using these coin word generic slabs?? This one looks pretty gemmy.... Lindy do
My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
I got a chuckle out of how they use the word pop on the label instead of "mintage".
I think Conder would be justified in ignoring any "service" which uses the Coin World holders unless it's an outfit like this which is something different and clearly numismatically oriented. With the advent of the CW holders, anyone with a mailbox and a printer can claim to be a grading company. They aren't even worth trying to keep track of.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I think I probably have ten to fifteen of these coin world slab shell companies listed now and most of them are just fly by night things.
I wish I could just ignore them but I have to keep track of them because sooner or later someone will be asking questions about them. Who is this?, Has anyone ever heard of this company?, When was company XVZ in business? etc.
Also some of the companies are truly acting like a legitimate company (Accepting outside submissions for a fee, grading them and then sealing them in the slab shells so you know the grade given refers to that specific coin. The CRC slab shown earlier I have known about for a couple of months. It isn't a real slabbing service as the holder is not sealed and the coin may be easily switched. (At last on the specimen that I own.)
But I'm afraid it really is just going to get worse. As was mentioned (and as I predicted would happen when the CW shells first became available) now everyone with a computer, printer, and a word processor can create their own grading service
