I could recommend my favorite place in the city but it's not close to the show. It was a little over 200/night last time I was there so not terribly expensive for the big apple.

Last time I was in NYC overnight I stayed at the Milford Plaza, it was well under $200 for the one weekday night. It's a good six or seven block walk across town to GCT and the Hyatt, though.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

The milford plaza? Yeeeeech! If you need to stay in that area, way better off at the marriot marquis.

I can personally NOT recommend the Milford Plaza. Very skudzy.

Huh... I definitely had a different impression based on my one night's stay, but in the face of popular opposition I rescind my recommendation. I figured from the thread title he was looking for bargains - and the Marriott at nearly $300 per night was well beyond my personal means.

I stayed at the Iriquois a few months ago. West 44th St near Broadway. Small but nice. The restaurant there is excellent.
