What a loser!

This guy cancels his auction at last sec and then relists it minutes later!

His auction listings reveal him to be such a credit to the University of North Carolina. image

Wow, I didn't realize 33 Goudeys are rare in G-VG condition. image

Still, surprising it didn't generate a single bid with a starting point of 0.99 and free shipping. Maybe the nonsensical description scared people off. I bet the reserve was pretty high. Look where he put the starting bid the second time around. Oops, corrected by the explanation below. Duh. Well, seems like the high bid (with likely snipes waiting) should have been enough for that grade.
  • jrdolan, it shows no bids because all of them were canceled. He canceled them 95 seconds before the auction was scheduled to end! The highest bid was $545.05 and there could have been snipes. He now starts it off at $600.

I was going to ask you if you knew the bid history - that's really low - he tested the water and is now one greedy hombre! It's not like there are zillions of people wanting to bid on this thing - I hope everyone gets pissed and he winds up holding this one in his hand for all eternity!

Mike, I saw nothing in his description that linked him to UNC. Most people who live in Chapel Hill never attended the university--which would be the fact in most every university town. My guess is that he is probably a dook fanimage

  • AkbarClone,

If you look in the sellers payment instructions, the users email is rlocklea@email.unc.edu. I'm guessin' that's where Nick got the University of North Carolina from. image

Yep--he is listed as a senior at UNC (Hometown in Pembroke, NC). It has his dorm address and other contact info in my UNC directory--maybe I should go to his dorm room to look at these Goudey cards in person.

  • That annoyed me as well. I think I started the bidding on this. What a jerk. Now he can forget it. I'll find another card to bid on.

Looking for 81-84 Topps Stickers in PSA 9 or better, 81 Topps Scratch offs, 83 Topps Fold outs in PSA 8 or better, 83 Fleer Stamps and 81/86 Fleer Star Stickers in PSA 9 or better.
