I thought I would post my new coin that came in today in an effort to try to keep up just a little with my buddy Stuart, who is also up- grading and extending his type set. What do you think?

tHAT IS A BEAUTY !!!!!!
Registry 1909-1958 Proof Lincolns
I really like the 1939 date which gives it nice distinction from the 1940's issues.
I've had a 1941 Proof Set since the mid-70's that I've been considering getting certified some day, mainly for the Walker and the Mercury Dime.
I have always thought that a Proof Walker is one of the prettiest coins around. I wonder if anyone's got a cameo proof walker -- or if such a thing exists. I don't remember seeing any strong frosty devices in the early proof sets.
A cameo proof walker would be a beautiful sight to behold.

Pcgs pop report shows 6 total cameo's.
I remember we had a post about cameo proof walkers. What did we decide?
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
I think where I am going to run into trouble with this extended type set is this Early Gold, as well as the stranger denominations. Have you picked up your $3 or $4 gold, or any Bust or Classic stuff?
I have so far stuck mostly with starter date sets for Liberty Coronet $20's and $20 Saint Gaudens, with an odd $10 Indian, $10 Liberty, a few $5 Liberties, and a couple of $5 & $2.50 Indians -- it's an eclectic mix of various gold coins.
I would eventually like to purchase a 1799 $10 Gold Eagle in PL AU condition, but I'm not aggressively adding to my gold type set right now.
I've got a few of these gold type coins which I may soon submit to PCGS for certification, but nothing imminent.
