If I place a bid and it doesn't reach the high bidder, shouldn't the current bid be what my high bid is??

I'm thinking it would be one notch higher than your bid.

I would think it would be 1 bid increment over yours...

It would be 1 increment higher than yours unless a previous bid was the same as yours or less than 1 increment above yours, in which case it will be at that bid.

If the current bidder is at $10.00 (and his high bid placed is higher then$11.00) and you bid $10.50 his bid should raise to $11.00.

    UNLESS:

    1. The current bidder's high bid is $10.50...in which case he would still be high bidder at $10.50 (because his bid was first)

    2. The current bidder's high bid is $10.77...in which case your bid of $10.50 would take him to $10.77
