US Mint games

I've had subscriptions to many items the mint sells---some I've quit, others I've added. But I just ran into a BIG "lack of communication" between them and my online acct.
I added a subscription to my acct for the silver PR ASEs and the mint coin sets back in May. When I went to my order status for both of these items, the pages show both were shipped about 6 weeks ago or shortly after having added them.
Well, having NOT received either one, I called customer support. I found out that as my orders were not placed within a certain timeframe earlier in the year, the "sent on ..." is referring to 2005 issues and has nothing to do with getting the 2004! So I had to re-order the ones I wanted for this year.
Also, as the mint sets are back-ordered, the mint produced another order number for it that tells me this. But the original order with original number only shows it being shipped.
Why they have to be so convoluted in their processing info to web orders is my biggest gripe and one I will never understand. If I were the type to just sit back and wait for my orders to arrive, I would be waiting til next year for them only to find I missed the 2004 issues.
It seems that even with all the money their sales generate, they are still willing to let you figure it out or end up calling them for clarification. They definitely aren't spending the revenue for customer support or satisfaction regards online order processing!
Instead of useful and up-to-date info, you can get misinformation and disinformation that you have to sift through. I guess its cheaper to add phone lines and answerers then it is to have a decent online info processing system.
OVER!
And speaking of emoticons, when is somebody going to put them in alphabetical order!?!?!?!?

Everything starts and everything stops at precisely the right time for precisely the right reason.

Mine is also backordered ...... but does anyone have a clue WHY? They just came out awhile back ......... Do they usually backorder 'this quickly' on those items?
I had sent mine back because it was opened, scratched and boogered - Had asked for 'exchange' on the return form, but they credited my account - so I RE-ordered - and NOW I am backordered until July 21 ......when I had originally ordered on the FIRST day out - so I am still screwed ..........
you would think if you ordered first they would send you a decent set .......... NOT!
Where's the guy that works at the mint that is on this forum - maybe he can explain some of these antics.
I'm curious how they explained that your 2005 sets were SHIPPED 6 weeks ago.
